Dorner Middle School, Ossining, NY White Marsh Elementary School, Mechanicsville, MD (Feb. 2) Here at The Banner School, reading is such an important part of our primary language arts curriculum and what a wonderful day of opportunities this was for our students. World Read Aloud Day was started by LitWorld and in addition to raising awareness of global literacy, at least 793 million people remain illiterate, it also aims to promote the power of reading aloud to children.
